How quickly can you get to my property?
We answer calls 24 hours a day, every day of the year, and a technician is typically at your door within 60 minutes. Water spreads fast, so the sooner we start extraction, the less damage you’re left to repair.
Are you available at night, on weekends, and on holidays?
Yes. Flooding doesn’t keep business hours, and neither do we. Our team is on call 24/7/365, so you’ll always reach a real person when water damage strikes.
Should I start cleaning up before you arrive?
Stop the water source and shut off power to wet areas if it’s safe, then wait for us. Don’t use a household vacuum on standing water and stay out of anything that might contain sewage. Take photos for your claim. We handle the rest.
Do you charge for an inspection or an estimate?
No to both. The inspection, where we come to your home and assess the damage, is free. The written estimate of what the work will cost is also free. You’ll know exactly what the job involves and what it should cost before any work begins, with no obligation and no upselling.
Do I have to use the company my insurance recommends?
No. You have the right to choose your own restoration company. Carriers can recommend a preferred vendor but they can’t require one. We document to carrier standards and bill them directly either way.
Do I still have to pay my deductible?
Yes. The deductible comes out of your pocket on any covered claim and the carrier pays the remaining covered scope. We walk you through exactly what you’ll owe before work starts.
What if my claim is denied or the damage isn’t covered?
It happens, usually with gradual leaks or flood damage on a standard policy. We give you a straight answer on cost, prioritize the work that prevents bigger damage, and provide a written scope so there are no surprises. Our documentation also supports an appeal if you make one.
How does billing work with my insurance company?
We document the loss with photos and moisture readings, write the estimate in Xactimate, the same software your adjuster uses, and bill the carrier directly. You typically pay your deductible and we handle the rest of the paperwork.
How long does water damage restoration take?
Drying takes three to five days for most homes. Larger losses with demolition or contents work run longer. You get a timeline at the inspection and updates at every daily check.
How do you know when my home is actually dry?
We measure, we don’t guess. Technicians take moisture readings every day and compare them to the dry standard for each material. Equipment comes out only when the numbers say dry, because pulling fans early is how mold starts.
Will you move and protect my belongings?
Yes. We move furniture out of affected areas, block or pad what stays, and document the condition of your contents before work begins.
Do I need to be home while the equipment runs?
Not all day. We schedule a short daily visit to take readings and adjust equipment, and we work around your schedule.
I just had water damage. Should I worry about mold?
If drying started within 24 to 48 hours, your risk is low. If water sat longer than that, or anything still smells musty after drying, get it checked. Mold prevention is one of the main reasons fast extraction matters.
Is the water in my home dangerous?
It can be. Even clean supply line water picks up contamination as it sits, and anything from a drain, sewer, or outside flooding is a health hazard. Keep kids and pets out of wet areas and let our crew assess the water category before you wade in.
Are you licensed, insured, and certified?
Yes. Flood Rescue is fully licensed and insured, and our technicians are IICRC certified, the industry standard for water damage restoration. That means every job is done to recognized professional standards from start to finish.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Oklahoma City and the surrounding communities, including Edmond, Moore, Norman, Yukon, Mustang, Midwest City, Choctaw, Guthrie, and Shawnee, among others. If you’re not sure whether you’re in our coverage area, give us a call and we’ll let you know.
